Our Projects

BISAECOM

A project to help cocoa smallholder farmers in Ghana cope with the immediate health and economic effects of covid-19. About  5,560 cocoa farmers in Ghana’s Ashanti and Eastern regions get weekly health information via interactive voice response, as well as a medical call centre set up for them to facilitate access to medical professionals. 

COVID-19 RESPONSE PROJECT

The GIDC of the GHS in partnership with BISA designed an interactive web and mobile application that served as a means through which discharged/recovering COVID-19 patients would report their daily vitals to the health professionals they were assigned for monitoring and further evaluation.

BISA SENEGAL PILOT PROJECT

Bisa collaborated with YOU STIFTUNG-BILDUNG FUER KINDER IN NOT, a German based foundation together with the  Ministry of Health and Social Action Senegal to launch the French version of the Bisa application in July, 2019.  Senegal has an estimated population of 13 million.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the International Labour Organization and the Oasis Websoft , a software-development house in Ghana to utilize a web application – Bisa – to reach young people with health-related information, including information on HIV and AIDS.

BISA ECOM

Summary

Bisa Technologies LTD. was contracted by ECOM Sustainable Management Services (https://www.ecomsms.com/) in 2021 to develop COVID-19 educational voice content in twi, build a database of 5560 cocoa farmers in the Ashanti and Eastern Region who will receive weekly health content via Interactive voice response and set up a medical call centre for the farmers. This project aims to educate farmers on COVID-19 and also their livelihood. A medical call centre has also been set up a Mankraso for Cocoa Farmers to have access to medical professionals.

Summary

The Bisa Health Application (Bisa) was developed as a solution to the identified gap in the healthcare system – to address the disparity in access to healthcare using modern technology thus allowing patients to obtain medical help cheaply and easily when needed. Our develoPPP project in which we collaborate with the Ghana Health Service aims to help close the gap in the health care sector in Ghana and reduce the congestion encountered during the upsurge of COVID-19 cases in Ghana. The app currently serves as an opportunity for users to receive health information on the COVID-19 pandemic, how to respond to any COVID-19 case in their close circle, check their symptoms and receive expert advice.
